Model Tyson Beckford Says He Made His Girlfriend Who She Is

Tyson Beckford at one point was the hottest African American male model on the runway. Beckford is now focusing his energy on his girlfriend Shanina Shaik, who is also a model.

Recently Beckford told the U.K. Evening Standard that he “made her,” claiming that he helped get her career started, reports EURweb.

“When I found her she was a regular girl, I helped place her with the right people, get her teeth cleaned, her body toned up…Everything changed and now everyone wants a piece of her. I hear people say, ‘You can do better than Tyson.’ I’m like, ‘Really? Really?! I created her!’?”

Shanina Shaik is a Victoria Secret model and once she found out what Beckford had to say about “making her,” she had some words to share with the media.

“Tyson and I really keep our work separate and every now and then we’ll go to events together…sometimes I say ‘You’ve contributed to it’. But everything that I do with my work is separate. And also I never asked him for any help on anything. He just supports me and that’s all I want.”

That sounds like a good thing to want. Who wouldn’t want to be supported by their older man? Oh, you didn’t know? Beckford may not look it, but he’s 41 years old and as for Shanina Shaik, she’s a tender 21 years old. Beckford may want to consider “making” someone his own age.
